Shelf Life

Our shelf life statement is based strictly on optimum flavor and fragrance viewpoint, and never on microbial activity. As with all fresh-roasted coffee, we believe there is a point when the product has faded due to oxidation and no longer contains the enjoyable signature coffee characteristics originally associated with it. That timeline is four months at ambient conditions. The stated shelf life is truly meant to be a “best when used by” date.

X Café’s Quality Assurance Department and independent outside labs have performed dozens of challenge studies, including a one-year Botulism test at an FDA-approved laboratory. Every study has proven our product to be shelf-stable, food-safe and strongly, naturally anti-microbial.

Shelf Life for Coffee On Demand Products:
30:1 Products – 4 months at ambient conditions, 6 months when refrigerated
80:1 Products – 6 months at ambient conditions, 9 months when refrigerated

Shelf Life for Food Ingredients is dependent on specific packaging.
